Constance Milstein is serving as 2010 Chairman of the American Heart Association’s Heart’s Delight. Her dedication to heart research dates back to her first paying job for the North Carolina Heart Association. She is the driving force behind the creation of the Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center, a world-renowned heart facility at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where Milstein has been a trustee since 2000.

Milstein is a long time supporter of medical research and serves on the Board of Directors of CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy), a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy. A consummate problem solver, Milstein is not only committed to finding a cure for the disease, but also for erasing the stigma of epilepsy.

Milstein stays closely connected and involved with a wide range of causes and commitments. As a fervent advocate of military service, Milstein joined the Board at Blue Star Families. She actively works to empower and support military families and her “Adopt a Base” program includes honoring military families with special events and treats ranging from fresh baked brownies to new books for children.

Connie’s Bakery & General Store, founded by Connie Milstein in 2005, is a successful and socially responsible bakery and gift shop, donates 100% of net profits to charity, and sustains a vital job training program. The first location opened in Mt. Kisco and was such a success that a second Connie’s Bakery was added in 2006 at Northern Westchester Hospital.

Connie Milstein is Principal and Co-Founder of Ogden CAP Properties, LLC and guides the company’s real estate, hotel and development operations, including directing the elegant reconstruction of Washington DC’s historic Jefferson Hotel.

Milstein graduated from New York University, where she currently serves as a Trustee. In 2009, she received the College of Arts and Science Distinguished Service Award for her extraordinary professional achievements. Milstein also earned a J.D. cum laude from North Carolina Central University Law School, where she was comment editor of the law journal.

Connie Milstein, a proud mother and grandmother, resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband.
